San Diego Eye Bank
Founder – Martin P. Koke, M.D.
The San Diego Eye Bank was founded by Martin P. Koke, M.D., in 1959 and incorporated in 1960. Dr. Koke was the first ophthalmologist in San Diego to perform a cornea transplant.
SDEB was established to be a resource for the ophthalmic community of San Diego. The Board of Directors is comprised of ophthalmologists helping to ensure SDEB continues to advance the science of sight.
The San Diego Eye Bank will forever be grateful for Dr. Koke’s generous philanthropic gifts and great care for his community throughout his professional career.
