Career Opportunities — Facilitating Ocular Tissue Donation
Our non-profit corporation is dedicated to the preservation and restoration of sight through ocular tissue donation education, collection, processing, and distribution. Eye Bank Technicians
Responsibilities include the recovery of tissue for transplant and/or research and evaluation of tissue and medical history. This position requires extensive on site training and education. Technician must be comfortable interacting with healthcare personnel as well as donor families.
Family Service Coordinators
Family Service Coordinators interact with the hospitals, hospices and other healthcare facilities in San Diego and Imperial Counties. They provide the opportunity for the family to make decisions about donation by giving them informed consent and answering the questions needed to make a decision. They facilitate the recovery with the eye bank technical team and recovery site. In addition, the family service coordinators offer support, bereavement information and other resources to the family.
Custom Cut Cornea Technician
CustomCut® Cornea Technicians prepare corneal tissue for transplant surgery. Highly experienced eye bank technician, surgical technician, or ophthalmic technician with microkeratome and/or IntraLase® experience desired.
Lab Assistant / Courier
Lab assistant / Courier is responsible and reliable for fast paced work environment. Able to handle important, time sensitive deliveries and be able to represent themselves in a professional manner. A person that could be flexible in hours, work in a lab environment, and have skills in computer data entry.
Volunteer Opportunities — Help Provide the Gift of Sight

Donor Family or Recipient
Participate in educational event for healthcare providers and health fairs.
Volunteer Program Assistant
To identify health fairs and other events. Organize orientations and training for volunteers for health fairs. Schedule health fair representatives for the events.
Health Fair Representative
Staffing information table at health fairs, street fairs, campuses and other sites. Answer questions, distribute brochures, newsletters and other informational materials.
Assist in preparation prior to major meetings and other office tasks.
