The San Diego Eye Bank Nurses' Advisory Board
The San Diego Eye Bank Nurses' Advisory Board (NAB) was established in 1990 by leaders within the nursing community. The board now includes hospital administrators, social workers, chaplains, a bereavement specialist, and decedent affairs staff. Board members are liaisons between their healthcare facilities and the San Diego Eye Bank. It is the board’s mission to help meet the needs of the San Diego Eye Bank for its recipients and to provide educational programs for San Diego-area healthcare providers.

Promoting Eye Donation Awareness and Education
The goal of the San Diego Eye Bank Nurses’ Advisory Board is accomplished by organizing and sponsoring education programs for the healthcare community and addressing informed consent and hospital regulatory issues regarding donation. NAB promotes programs on eye donation for their respective healthcare facilities.
The San Diego Eye Bank Nurses' Advisory Board is proud to address the needs of healthcare professionals, and the families they serve, by making a difference in helping promote the Gift of Sight to those in need.
